Welcome to the documentation for the Attendance Management module of Campustom, a cutting-edge campus management software. This module enables staff members to easily mark their attendance by checking in and checking out within campus opening hours. Users have the flexibility to use either the web or mobile native applications to conveniently mark their attendance. In this documentation, we will explore the key features and functionalities of the module, including the optional various limitations set by administrators. Let's dive in!

Check-In/Check-Out procedure

  1. Accessing Campustom Attendance Management: To access the Attendance Management module, staff members are required to log in to the Campustom Dashboard. Upon successful login, they can select the campus they wish to manage and navigate to the campus dashboard. Here, they will find the Attendance section, which is the gateway to the check-in and check-out process.
  2. Check-In Process: Once inside the Attendance section, staff members can initiate the check-in process by simply clicking on the Check In button. Depending on the requirements set by the Super Administrators, the system may prompt for additional verification measures. This could include facial recognition using the web camera or requesting access to the browser's GPS location. If prompted for GPS location permission, users must allow access for the web application to accurately record their location.
  3. Check-In Status and Working Hours: Upon successfully completing the check-in process, staff members will be able to view their check-in status. The system will display a timer indicating the duration from check-in until check-out, allowing users to track their working hours in real time.
  4. Check-Out Process: When it's time to check out, staff members can follow the same procedure as the check-in process. This time, they need to click on the Check Out button. The system will record the check-out time and calculate the total working hours for the session.
  5. Geo-Location Limitations: Campustom offers administrators the option to set geo-location limitations for staff members to check-in and check-out within campus premises. If this requirement is enabled, we strongly recommend using the "Campustom" mobile application, as mobile devices are equipped with built-in GPS modules. Staff members can easily download the "Campustom" mobile application from Google Play Store. By using the mobile application, users can ensure accurate GPS coordinates are recorded for their attendance.
  6. Check-In/Check-Out using mobile applications: To check-in and check-Out using mobile applications, you need to install the Campustom app from the Google Play Store on your device. You could follow the same procedures described above to mark attendance using mobile applications.

Conclusion: The Attendance Management module of Campustom empowers staff members to conveniently mark their attendance and track their working hours. With the flexibility to use either web or mobile applications, along with optional geo-location limitations, Campustom offers a comprehensive solution for efficient attendance management. We hope this documentation has provided you with a clear understanding of the module's functionalities.
