Grade sheets and grading

Welcome to the documentation for Campustom GradeSheets module, a powerful tool designed to streamline the management of exam results. With GradeSheets, campus administrators can effortlessly generate student grades and determine pass or fail status based on customizable grade sheets.

The GradeSheets module seamlessly integrates with the Exams module, allowing campus administrators to specify grade sheets during the creation of exams. By attaching a grade sheet to an exam, administrators can easily calculate student grades and identify those who have met the minimum passing criteria.

Administrators have the ability to modify grade sheets and grades. However, it's important to note that any changes made to grade sheets and grades can potentially impact previous exam results data associated with those grade sheets. This documentation outlines the process and considerations for modifying grade sheets and grades.

To modify grade sheets and grades, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Grade Sheets section of the dashboard.
  2. Locate the grade sheet that needs to be modified. You can search for the grade sheet.
  3. Select the grade sheet you wish to modify. Make the necessary changes to the grade sheet. This can include updating the minimum marks, maximum marks, grade scale, or any other relevant information.
  4. Save the changes to the grade sheet by clicking on the Save button.

Considerations for Modifying Grades

When modifying grades, it's important to consider the potential impact on previous exam results data associated with the grade sheet. Here are some considerations:

  1. Data Consistency: Modifying the grade scale or grade range can potentially affect how grades are calculated and assigned to students. Ensure that the changes align with the grading criteria and standards set for the specific exams and courses.
  2. Historical Data: Any changes made to grade sheets and grades will reflect in the historical records of previous exam results. This means that the grades of students who have already taken exams associated with the grade sheet will be updated accordingly.
  3. Transparency and Communication: It's crucial to communicate any changes made to grade sheets and grades to students, faculty, and other members. This ensures transparency and avoids confusion or misunderstandings regarding the grading process.

In Campustom, administrators have the ability to create grade sheets for exams. However, there may be situations where administrators want to delete a grade sheet that is no longer needed. This documentation outlines the process and conditions for deleting grade sheets.

To delete a grade sheet, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Campustom Dashboard and select campus you want to make changes.
  2. Navigate to the "Grade Sheets" section of the app.
  3. Locate the grade sheet that needs to be deleted and navigate into the About section. You can search for the grade sheet by name.
  4. Click on the Delete button on upper right corner.
  5. A confirmation prompt will appear to ensure that you want to delete the grade sheet. Review the information and verify that you are deleting the correct grade sheet.
  6. Confirm the deletion by clicking on the "Delete" or "Confirm" button.
  7. Before proceeding with the deletion, the system will check if the grade sheet is associated with any exams. If the grade sheet is associated with exams, an error message will be displayed, and the deletion process will be halted. You will need to remove the association with exams before attempting to delete the grade sheet.
  8. If the grade sheet is not associated with any exams, the system will move it to the recycle bin. The system will automatically permanently delete it after 30 days. But you can restore it from the bin if you delete it accidentally.
